COVID – 19 Statement

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we appreciate the necessity to keep supply chains and communications open globally for all our clients. With this in mind and in line with government guidelines we have our internal “stay safe” strategy.
Alongside this corporate strategy it is important to underline the fact that currently cargo flights and cross border trade transport links are still operational. Our shipments do not travel on passenger flights and we are able to offer continuing global distribution. Some areas have very specific local delivery restrictions in place and naturally transit times for mail, courier and freight have been extended slightly to allow for local changes. For destination specific delivery or collection information please contact cs@superiorlogistics.co.uk

Whether you are working from an office or home address we can arrange deliveries and collections to suit you and our warehouses are accepting 3rd party deliveries and storage for clients- this may be of particular help if you are not based at your usual collective office address. Shipping paperwork and delivery labels can be generated by our system to wherever you are based for you to print and attach.

We will work to continue to support you through these exceptional circumstances and would like to reassure you of our in-house strategy to keep staff and shipments safe and offer continuity of business where appropriate.

Hand/Personal Hygiene:
All staff members have been fully informed and advised on the importance of hand hygiene, in line with the instructions from Public Health England and the NHS. They have been provided with documented versions of these instructions, and workplace posters and information sheets are clearly visible. Soaps and sanitising products have been made readily available, with offices signposted for prompt use of the same.

Drivers:
In the interest of containing the spread of the virus, drivers have been advised to sign Proof of Delivery dockets on behalf of the consignee where possible. Clients are requested not to hand drivers shipments for collection but to leave them placed for the driver to pick up themselves – thus avoiding close contact. Drivers are also supplied with hand sanitiser products, gloves and masks.

 Virtual Working:

We have identified “at risk” staff (as per government guidelines) and have made arrangements for them to work remotely wherever possible to keep them safe. We have also “split teams” so that we have (wherever practical) at least one key member of each team working remotely – this will allow us to offer continuity of business and communication should a member of a team fall sick. This also allows us to meet the safe working distance criteria for those remaining in the offices or warehouses.

Safe Distancing Measures in the offices and warehouses:

We are operating with the optimum number of staff on-site to allow for continuity of business and processing shipments and orders whilst at the same time allowing for safe distance working. All staff are working to the 2-metre rule and desks and workstations have been located accordingly. All staff coming into the office have their temperature taken on arrival using a handheld, no contact thermometer. All temperature records are updated daily and staff with a temperature or any other symptom are aware of the isolation rules.
Visitors are currently not allowed into the warehouse or offices.

Maintaining Service:
The continuity of service is of the highest priority, and we are providing the same level of service and resource as at any other time and intend to continue operating at full capacity. Superior Logistics will comply with any and all instruction from regulatory agents and governmental organisations should they change in any respect.
We are working with our key partners and suppliers to ensure no disruption in service, and will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated.
